Wednesday, November 2, 2011 On Wednesday November 02, 2011 at 1614hrs The New Market Fire Co. #1 responded to a reported structure fire at 148 Blackford Avenue in Piscataway, NJ. One of our own volunteers, Deputy Chief Pete Bellina lost his residence to this fire. All of their belongings & personnel effects were destroyed or soiled from the fire and smoke damage. Saturday, October 29, 2011 An unusually early Nor’easter winter storm plummeted the area with a few inches of wet heavy snow that kept New Market Fire busy throughout the duration of the storm and its aftermath. Heavy tree branches and wires broke loose and caused disruption of electric, phone and cable service for a number of residents. Saturday, October 15, 2011 21 Members completed Pump Operations Training this past Sunday with E-2, E-3 & T-6. The training was conducted by John Alston (Capt. JCFD Rescue 6) from A-Vision, LLC.With classroom presentations and practical evolutions performed, this class was an excelent refresher for some of the seasoned FF's and Senior Officers and in turn a well rounded class for the novice drivers and Junior Officers who now have water supply theory and practical evolutions to add to their k... Thursday, October 13, 2011 2045 On Thursday evening at approx 2045 hrs., New Market was dispatched for a ladder truck to respond to a working fire at 140 Baekeland Ave in Middlesex Borough. T-6 responded with Asst. Chief Previtera and a crew of 4 additional FF's. Upon arrival, the crew was assigned to the roof for ventilation operations at MJM Truck Repair while other crews knocked the fire from the interior. T-6 returned from the scene at approx 2245 hrs.
Friday, October 7, 2011 Members this past week visited with the students at Kinder College on Centennial Ave. and the Piscataway High School for Fire Prevention Week. Along with demonstrations, FF's and the Chief allowed the students to browse through the apparatus.

Monday, September 26, 2011 1530 HRS. At approx 1530 hrs on Monday September 26, New Market Fire was dispatched to 91 Royal Dr. for a reported fire in the residence. NM-Car 1 arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and Chief Lemire reported a heavy black smoke condition, possibly from the kitchen area.
